What Savvy Trail Is All About

Savvy Trail is a project to create an informational resource, a "Playbook" for anyone trying to work their way toward financial security. There are plenty of reasons that people might struggle to become financially stable, but lack of quality information just shouldn’t be one of those reasons. So, Savvy Trail is a project to identify, gather, organize and share the information people need to improve their finances for the long term.

The Vision

The luckiest among us have people who can teach us and guide us from wherever we’re starting toward achieving financial success. How amazing would it be if that kind of know-how were readily accessible to everyone? We can make that happen. We can work together to clearly understand the steps people take to reach financial success, and we can lay those steps out for others to follow like a trail.

Get Involved

I believe it is possible to build a resource of information that could help all kinds of people improve their financial situation, but I don’t have all the answers. I’m researching the relevant topics, but I also believe that many of the insights we’ll need to capture won’t come readily from a Google search. It’s going to take many people sharing their personal experiences and perspectives to craft a resource that can truly support financial progress for a wide range of people. I see this coming in 3 ways:

  1. If you’re already reasonably successful with your finances, you can share what you’ve learned along the way to help others learn from your experience.

  2. If you’re early in your journey toward financial stability, especially if you’re struggling, you can give feedback about the information we’re providing. Does it help? Does it address the challenges you’re facing? What are we missing?

  3. If neither of the above applies to you, you can still get involved and help! The outcome of this work will depend on the community involved, and you can help us grow our community! Keep up with what we’re doing and help spread the word!
